The Skinners' Kent Academy Fund
We have a clear vision of how we want the Academy to develop both in terms of its curriculum and the broader educational experience on offer to all of our students. However, our funding makes it very difficult to resource enrichment activity and for this reason, to sustain and develop opportunities beyond the classroom, we have set up The Skinners’ Kent Academy Fund.
The Skinners’ Kent Academy seeks to create, develop and maintain an education that focuses on providing opportunities for success for all and celebrating the achievements of everyone in all aspects of life at the Academy. In particular the Academy wants and will support your child to recognise the potential that they have, and then to fulfil that potential.
School funds provide resources and opportunities that enhance the students’ experience of educational, cultural and sporting activities and extends their skills, abilities and view of the world, well beyond the classroom. Many local secondary schools already have established school funds which have enabled them to provide additional resources and fund extra curricular activities for their students. Our aim is to use The Skinners’ Kent Academy fund to increase the number of external speakers into the Academy, provide additional extra curricular opportunities for students and appoint a part-time Academy counsellor.
Contributing to The Skinners’ Kent Academy Fund is voluntary and all your donations, no matter how big or small, are much appreciated and invaluable to us. The amount we suggest for Academy fund contributions is £5 per term which can be paid using ParentPay.
As a charity, we can enhance your donation by claiming Gift Aid relief so please remember to tick this option when completing your payment on ParentPay.
With schools working to an increasingly tight budget, your donation really will make a difference to the educational experience The Skinners’ Kent Academy is able to provide for your child.
