Peter Jones Foundation Annual Awards

Last Thursday, Mr Gleed and Miss Knowles joined Year 12 and 13 Peter Jones Enterprise Academy students at the Peter Jones Foundation annual awards and welcome event at The Pelligon in Canary Wharf. These prestigious national awards, hosted by Peter Jones CBE, recognise students who have exceled in different aspects of their businesses within the Tycoon Enterprise Competition. It was a truly inspirational event brimming with aspiration for not only personal success, but to make an innovative impact on our world.

Special congratulations to Toby Hoppe in Year 13 whose business idea was selected by Peter Jones as one of the five most innovative. Toby was given a microphone and engaged in a conversation with Peter Jones about his idea in front of the entire audience.

Additionally, Taneesh Jain in Year 12 took Peter Jones’ advice of grasping opportunities and spoke with the Managing Director of the entire Foundation about organising a real estate business mentor – which he has now secured.

Overall, the day was hugely rewarding and a reminder of how beneficial the PJEA programme is for our Sixth Form students – opening doors to opportunities and empowering us to, as Peter Jones said, strive for innovation in all aspects of our lives.
