Forest School
Forest School provides a unique opportunity for students to interact with nature and develop their social, emotional, and physical skills. Its principles revolve around fostering resilient, confident, independent, and creative learners by promoting holistic development and building a relationship between learners and the natural world.
Our Forest School programme is designed specifically for students who attend Aspire. Aspire is a targeted, small group support system that helps students catch up with their peers and manage their needs, such as ADHD and ASD.
During the six two-hour sessions each week, students are fully immersed in a natural woodland environment, providing them with an opportunity to develop their relationship with the natural world. We believe that it is essential for children to spend time outside, away from electronic devices, and Forest School provides the perfect environment for this.
The results of our Forest School programme have been nothing short of impressive. 98% of students who have taken part in Forest School have shown an improvement in their attendance. Furthermore, students have demonstrated significant progress in their overall well-being, mental health, and resilience in tackling tasks.
