European Day of Langauges

On Thursday 26 September, we celebrated European Day of Languages, an occasion dedicated to encouraging language learning across Europe. Students took part in a number of activities including:

• Looking for key quotes in a Spanish translation of Stave 1 of A Christmas Carol.
• Learning key Maths terminology in German
• Exploring why languages are important in the business world
• Studying the Hebrew understanding of the Messiah
• Finding out more about French fashion designers
• Learning some Arabic phrases for Life after Death
• Looking at an Ethnographer working in Japan, Arabic doctors and medieval medicine
• Creating French cuisines
• Looking into Famous Logotype designs in the world
• Enjoying International Cuisine, prepared by our Caterers Olive Dining
