Over the past six weeks, a group of enthusiastic Year 7-9 students have participated in the UCL Ocean Health Engineering Challenge. Their mission? To design creative solutions to prevent plastics from harming our oceans.

The students have developed some fantastic ideas, including an eco-friendly alternative to plastic bags, a plastic-collecting robot, an app-based reward system, and even the use of genetically modified bacteria. These innovative concepts will now be submitted to UCL, where they stand a chance to win prizes for both the school and the individuals involved.

A huge well done to everyone who took part in this inspiring project.
