Celebrations are in order for the Year 8 football team, who emerged victorious in the West Kent Cup, securing a 6-3 win against Bennett at Tonbridge Angels FC.

The team’s performance was truly remarkable, as they displayed unwavering dedication in preventing Bennett from gaining any ground. Jack Hunter set the tone by scoring a goal within the opening minute, igniting the team’s relentless pressure. Building on this fantastic start, Marco Pinner and Zak Somers combined forces to make it 2-0 after 20 minutes, with Zak adding a third goal shortly thereafter. Although Bennett managed to catch us off-guard and scored a goal, Conrad Stone re-established our three-goal lead by half-time.

In the second half, SKA maintained their dominance, with Walter Whittingham and Harry Hunter contributing to SKA’s goal tally. The team truly deserved their 6-3 victory and the honour of lifting the coveted trophy. This triumph marks SKA’s first-ever championship win, and we hope it serves as a springboard for future successes to come.

A huge well done to the whole squad and team coach Mr Holl.
